A unique and thrilling experience of the Dachstein glacier & all its views and activities at 2700 meters on the top of the symbol of the Schladming Dachstein region.
Slow ride by the Dachstein panorama gondola to the highest peak in Styria, is an outstanding experience. The cabin is built entirely of glass for a perfect view.
On the Dachstein awaits a truly memorable experience:
Austria’s highest Suspension Bridge, the Sky Walk, the Stairways to nothingness with a breath-taking view and the Dachstein Ice Palace created in 2007.
It astounds visitors with detailed carved figures, ice pillars & a crystal dome.
It’s just a three-minute walk away from the mountain station of the Dachstein Glacier cable car and it is open daily.

The Highest Playground in Styria 

It’s a very special project for children and offers a 1.5 km long pram-suitable round trip. It starts at the mountain station of the Planai cable car and its packed with many funny game stations. Along the route are swings, slides, climbing elements, a ball track and a big pile of snow to play with, even during the summer months. 
Cooling down on hot summer day is guaranteed! There is also a children’s program from 11:00 to 15:00 from Thursday to Sunday.

You can enjoy a comfortable ride up the hill using the Planai Cable Car.
Each cabin takes one bike on a hanger on the outside of the cabin. When on the top, there is only one way to go: downhill through beautiful natural surroundings. 
Choose from variety of different track levels – from easy terrain for kids and beginners, moderate slope perfect for families, trails with delicately shaped speed jumps
to the Austria’s longest downhill track on the Planai which starts at 1830 meters ASL for pros to enhance their style and expand their skills! 
The Alpreif Bikecenter offers a mountain bike rental service, spare parts and clothing sales as well as very efficient repairs, mostly done immediately and at a low price.

Ferrata (climbing routes with steel handholds and footholds as well as a steel rope anchored into the rockface for safety) and rock-climbing pitches ranging from easy climbs for children, families and beginners to alpine classics, where climbers are always rewarded for their efforts with fabulous views. 
There are several alpine schools in the region with qualified mountain guides who will be happy to show you the best and most beautiful routes in the area and offer rock climbing courses for children, youths and adults, some of which with a certificate confirming the skills learnt.
