Our apartments are ideally situated for a perfect ski in/ski out winter holiday in the mountains. 
Just step outside the house, get on your skis or snowboard and hit the 4.6 km long FIS ski slope, going from Planai and ending in the centre of Schladming.

Schladming is part of Austria ‘s biggest ski association Ski amadé, the largest ski area in Austria. It incorporates even the original ski areas on a single modern ski pass open to an unbelievable 760 km of well-maintained ski slopes in 25 resorts and 270 lifts per day, enough to satisfy skiers of all levels.
Visitors are taken aback by the fascinating mountain landscape, the natural charm of the villages, sincere hospitality and excellent cuisine in the traditional ski huts.
The best possible quality of perfectly maintained slopes of all levels are connected by modern cable cars and ski lifts with no queues or waiting.
Skilful racing skiers, beginners or children will gain ski self-confidence and refine their ski technique in these ideal conditions. More than 120 snow ploughs take care of the precise preparation of the slopes which guarantees skiing from November until May.

The core of the Ski amadé area are five very famous centres Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming / Dachstein, Gastein, Grossarltal and Hochkönig.

The Schladming 4 – Mountain Ski Swing 

The ski resorts located in Schladming-Dachstein, are Planai, Hochwurzen, Hauser Kaibling and Reiteralm, also called the Schladming 4 – Mountain Ski Swing.
Each skiing mountain is unique and has a variety of offers for kids and families, sports, gourmets and mountain lovers to enjoy their winter fun.  The winter sports area lies at an altitude of 728 to 2,015 m and has 124 km of ski-connected perfectly groomed slopes from easy family ones to challenging black-rated slopes for experts.
It will inspire all and satisfy even the most demanding skiers finding their personal favourite ski slope. 
Fans of statistics will appreciate the possibility of obtaining the history of their ski day, including their skiing mileage and mountain elevation.

The Dachstein Glacier

a unique and thrilling experience at 2700 meters 

Dachstein Glacier offers great attractions for every taste, every age and every requirement – whatever the season!
The Dachstein Panorama Gondola is an experience in itself. It takes you uphill to 2,700 meters above sea level, directly into a wonderful winter world of skiing, touring, cross-country skiing, snowboarding & freeriding. Dachstein glacier panorama restaurant offers the ideal refreshment with stunning views.

Attractions such as the Dachstein Suspension bridge, the Sky Walk, the Stairs to nowhere or the Ice Palace, which takes visitors inside the glacier,
are all breath-taking moments and guarantee a thrill with a view.

Skiers will find 5 km of top groomed slopes with optimal snow conditions for fantastic alpine skiing and 5 lifts
(1 panorama gondola, 1 chairlift, 3 surface lifts) and 15 km of panorama cross country trails with unique views and untouched countryside. 
The cross-country tracks on the Dachstein glacier are very popular amongst top athletes, being THE international training centre for cross-country skiers,
biathletes as well as Nordic combined athletes. The glacier also offers up to 18 km of diagonal and skating trails, unrestricted from November to July and the Edelgriess freeride legend, 18 km deep snow and extreme terrain with an up to 45-degree slope and more popular summer snowboard camps in Burton Super Park.

Galsterberg

The Gallic Ski Village

The Galsterberg is a small and long-established traditional ski resort that specialises mainly in the smallest guests.

Galstiland, the largest children’s land of the whole region, is the most spectacular children’s ski area offering a variety of attractions like:
two Fun Slopes for skiing, fun for the whole family with a wave train, a tunnel or a rainbow box, mountain cottages accessible on skis,
a Roman Watchtower hiding a real games paradise within its walls, 10 m tall snow figures, talking Gallic figures, the Zipflbob-Bahn (minibob) run,
the “magical” carpets and children’s lifts, which make children’s learning easier and more varied and many more.
The children area is clearly visible from the sun terrace of the rustic mountain restaurant Bottinhaus, located directly at the mountain station of the gondola lift.
Restaurant will spoil you with delicious Styrian delicacies, cosy bar and sun loungers.

A family friendly ski area is located nearby with modern cable lifts and 10 km of slopes (5 km is lit in the dark), ski school and sled run.

Sledging Trip

Tobogganing

a lot of fun for everyone 

Tobogganing is a great experience for all ages. From a romantic sledging trip under the stars to a great fun with the whole family on natural runs.
Once you are back in the valley, you can then enjoy catching up with a little glass of schnapps!

Galsterberg
From the Bottinghaus to the Happy Alm at the gondola valley station Galsterberg is the 5 km-long and continuously illuminated toboggan run,
which also opens in the evening (Tue, Thu, Sat). The toboggans can be borrowed directly from the Bottinghaus.

Hochwurzen

The 7 km long natural sled run on Hochwurzen is one of the longest sled runs in the Alps. It is open during the day and at night (except Sundays). The starting point for the run is located directly on the Hochwurzen summit and ends at the base of the mountain at the ski lift. There are refreshment stops between the start and finish points.

Austria's Most Beautiful Region 

A total 328 km of cross-country trails are available in the region Schladming-Dachstein with many possibilities to stop for a drink or food along the trails.
The best-known area for perfectly groomed white footprints is around Schladming – Ramsau, awarded with the Styrian cross-country trail seal of quality:
it stands for quality, safety and customer focus.

The extremely well-prepared cross-country tracks are through the amazingly beautiful mountain landscape. This unique background will not only improve your own physical fitness, but also makes you enjoy this fantastic experience. Beginners or real experts will both find the perfect conditions here.

The kids’ cross-country ski park for little cross-country skiers in Ramsau am Dachstein, is where the youngest skiers playfully start to get into the sport. The ski park is in the WM stadium in Ramsau Ort. The cross-country ski instructors of the Ramsau Ski Schools safely guide the little skiers through the ski park, or kids can try on their own.
Top cross-country ski classes are also available for adults to help to learn the basic techniques quickly.

Skiing equipment can be rented out at local sports shops or right on site. Kids up to their 15thbirthday don’t have to get a cross-country trail pass!
